Established in 1985 by Danny Virtue, the Virtue Studio Ranch is a full-service film studio and working ranch located in the heart of the Fraser Valley in Mission. Situated just one hour from downtown Vancouver, the ranch encompasses more than 200 acres of private property and is bordered by an additional 5,000 acres of Crown land, offering filmmakers an unparalleled range of natural landscapes and production opportunities.
Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the property features expansive green fields, rolling hills, lush forests, three creeks, waterfalls, historic log barns, rustic cabins, and horse corrals. These diverse settings have made the ranch a sought-after location for hundreds of film and television productions.
The ranch's extensive production infrastructure includes a 35,000-square-foot indoor arena that serves as a versatile cover set, along with production offices, a lunchroom, gym facilities, parking and more than 10,000 square feet of storage space. This combination of natural beauty and practical production support makes the facility one of the most unique filming locations in Western Canada.
Today, the family legacy continues under the leadership of Marshall Virtue, who oversees ranch operations and provides specialized horse work and animal services for film and television productions, carrying forward the vision established by his father.
